Admiral Mark P. Fitzgerald, Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe, and  Commander, Allied Joint Force Command Naples, visits Macedonia

Admiral Mark P. Fitzgerald, Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe, and Commander, Allied Joint Force Command Naples, will visit the Republic of Macedonia on September 16 and 17, 2008.  During his visit the Admiral will meet with President Branko Crvenkovski, Foreign Minister Antonio Milososki, Defense Minister Zoran Konjanovski, Chief of Defense Lieutenant General Miroslav Stojanovski, and other top government officials.  Together they will discuss Macedonian support for NATO operations worldwide, and to further develop US and NATO relationships with Macedonia.

On September 17, Admiral Fitzgerald will attend a ceremony in Ilinden military barracks in Skopje to dedicate Partnership for Peace funded training sites and to present awards to Macedonian troops who took part in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
