Crew Members in Transit Visa: C1/D

For more detailed information please go to:

www.travel.state.gov

The following persons must request a C1/D visa: Pilots, air hostesses, stewards, seamen or employees on board a ship whose services are required for normal operation, or crew members traveling to the United States as passengers to join vessel or aircraft.

Crew list visas should preferably be requested at the U.S. consular office nearest the home port of the vessel, or at a port where a U.S. consular officer is stationed. Paris is the only issuing post in France.

When crew members are transiting for more than 29 days in U.S. waters, they need to apply for a B1/B2 visa.
