U.S. Secretary of Defense to Visit Macedonia

October 7, 2008

U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates will visit Macedonia on October 8 to participate in the Southeastern Europe Defense Ministerial (SEDM).  While at the conference he will also meet with  President Branko Crvenkovski, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and Minister of Defense Zoran Konjanovski to discuss issues of bilateral and regional significance.  There will be a statement to the press after this meeting and representatives of the media are asked to contact the Ministry of Defense for further details.
