The U.S. Embassy Invites All Citizens of Macedonia to Join the Fundraiser “Go Pink:  Walk Against Breast Cancer”

May 15, 2009

The U.S. Embassy, in collaboration with the NGOs BORKA and Integrity Alpha Omega, invites all citizens to join us in a walk against breast cancer in City Park on Sunday, May 17, at 11:00 am.  The walk will begin at the “Shkolka” and end with a concert featuring performers such as Kristina Arnaudova, Dani, and Beni Shakiri.  Funds raised by the walk will go towards refurbishing a chemotherapy clinic for women with breast cancer at the State Hospital.  This project is part of the strategic partnership agreement between Macedonia and the U.S.  Go Pink!

Sponsors include AVON, Dobra Voda, Alkaloid, the Agency for Youth and Sports, and most major media channels.  For more information on the walk and to make a donation, please visit BORKA’s website:  www.borka.org.mk .
