Diversity Visa Lottery (“Green Card Lottery”) Fraud Warning

The U.S Embassy in Skopje would like to advise the public in Macedonia to beware of fraudulent mail, email, or telephonic notifications informing Macedonian citizens that they have won the U.S. Diversity Visa Lottery (sometimes called the “Green Card Lottery”).  The Embassy emphasizes that the U.S. Government will not send notification to winners of this year’s Diversity Visa lottery (officially called DV Lottery 2012).   

Starting on May 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012, all entrants may check the status of their entry through the Entry Status Check on the E-DV website.

Entry Status Check will be the ONLY means by which lottery winners/selectees will be notified of their selection for DV-2012.
