Check-list for Alien Relative Petition (Documents required for the first appointment)
Please make sure the items on the following checklist are completed and submitted with the I-130 (Alien Relative Petition), for each person applying for an Immigrant Visa. This will ensure the efficient processing of your petition(s). - US Citizen's passport and Applicant's passport, one copy of passport (photo page) or birth certificate (civil document).
- Proof that the petitioner has been continuously resident in Macedonia or Kosovo for at least the last six months.
- One original marriage certificate and one photocopy. The marriage certificate is only required for the current marriage. If you have been married previously, we do not require that you bring in marriage certificates for all previous marriages. We also require an English translation if the document is not in English.
- Original and one photocopy of divorce or death decrees for all prior marriages for both parties. If these are not in English, we also need one copy of an English translation for each.
- One color passport-size photograph of yourself and one for your spouse. The requirement applies to children.
- The fee of $355 or the equivalent in Macedonian denars (based on the Embassy rate) for each petition (cash accepted only).
- Completed forms G-325A for the petitioner and applicant.
- If filing for a child, include original and one copy of his/her birth certificate. If the child was adopted, please include one copy of the adoption decree.
- Any other evidence that helps establish proof of your relationship with the immigrant you are petitioning for, such as: photos, correspondence, phone bills, etc
If any name changes have taken place, we need one copy of the name change documentation from the competent authority. All documents need to be submitted with a translation if they are not in English.
Original documents must be presented to the U.S. consular officer. They may be returned if accompanied by a notarized copy. Any document written in a language other than Macedonian or English must be translated into English.
AT THE TIME OF YOUR APPOINTMENT, YOUR PETITION (S) MUST BE SIGNED AND ACCOMPANIED BY ALL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION. FEE PAYMENT MUST BE MADE IN FULL AT THE TIME OF YOUR APPOINTMENT. INCOMPLETE PACKAGES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
