Three Officers, Three Corners, One Week

November 17, 2008

Last week, for the first time ever in Macedonia, the American Corners had three presentations by American officers, one at each Corner. In Bitola, Jen Bosworth talked about the U.S. Presidential elections and what they mean; Gary Heinrich gave a presentation on effective resume and CV writing in Skopje; and in Tetovo, Amy Storrow talked about different models of bilingual education that she had encountered in the U.S. “I really enjoyed taking a break from my day job of analyzing the Macedonian political system to think about the American political system, and to talk about what the historic election meant in the U.S. and around the world,” Jen Bosworth said.

Next month look for presentations about the U.S.’s system for transitioning between Presidents . . . and the “truth” about Elvis Presley!
