U.S. Presidential Election Event at Army Hall

On the occasion of the U.S. Presidential elections, The United States Embassy will host an election event on Wednesday, November 5, 2008.  Guests will include representatives of the Macedonian Government, Parliament and other state institutions, as well as members of NGOs, academic institutions, the media, the private sector and the international community.

The event will be held at the Army Hall in Skopje, from 6:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and will enable guests to see campaign footage, political parody and results and analysis of the 2008 U.S. Presidential elections.  Publications and other information on the U.S. election process will also be available.  Ambassador Reeker will address the guests at 7:00 a.m.

Media are invited to cover the event.  Media that wish to attend are requested to confirm their attendance at 3116-180, ext. 2150 or via e-mail at cilimann@state.gov with the name of the journalist and the media outlet.  All media must also present their credentials prior to admittance to the hall.
